<li>Stock futures are reversing to buying in the early trade on positive news of "significant progress" in India trade talks.&nbsp; Vice President JD Vance met with India Prime Minister Narendra Modi. &nbsp; Vance said, "We believe a stronger India means greater economic prosperity, but also greater stability across the Indo- Pacific, which is, of course, a shared goal for all of us.</li>

<li>In addition to studying ways to fire Fed Chair Powell, there are signals from the White House that President Trump is planning to undercut the Federal Reserve, bringing its legitimacy into question, if Powell does not cut interest rates.&nbsp; The Fed rate decision will be announced on May 7.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>A flurry of Fed speak is ahead today that may provide investors with insights. &nbsp; Vice Chair Philip Jefferson is speaking at 9am ET.&nbsp; Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker is speaking at 9:30am ET.&nbsp; Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari is speaking at 1:40pm ET.&nbsp; Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin is speaking at 2:30pm ET.&nbsp; Governor Adriana Kugler is speaking at 6pm ET.</li>
<li>Adding to the positive sentiment this morning is that Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) has debunked a rumor that hurt NVIDIA Corp (NVDA), Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), Micron Technology Inc (MU), Broadcom Inc (AVGO), Marvell Technology Inc (MRVL), and other AI stocks yesterday.  The rumor was that Amazon was pulling back on AI infrastructure.  Amazon has denied the rumor.  </li>
<li>Tesla Inc (TSLA) earnings are ahead after the regular session close.  Due to the popularity of TSLA stock with retail investors, moves in TSLA stock impact stock market sentiment.</li>
</ul>
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Magnificent Seven Money Flows</h4>
In the early trade, money flows are positive in AMZN, NVDA, TSLA, Microsoft Corp (MSFT), Alphabet Inc Class C (GOOG), Meta Platforms Inc (META), and Apple Inc (AAPL).
In the early trade, money flows are positive in SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 (QQQ).

It is worth reminding that you cannot take advantage of new upcoming opportunities if you are not holding enough cash.&nbsp; When adjusting hedge levels, consider adjusting partial stop quantities for stock positions (non ETF); consider using wider stops on remaining quantities and also allowing more room for high beta stocks.&nbsp; High beta stocks are the ones that move more than the market.
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Traditional 60/40 Portfolio</h4>
Probability based risk reward adjusted for inflation does not favor long duration strategic bond allocation at this time.
Those who want to stick to traditional 60% allocation to stocks and 40% to bonds may consider focusing on only high quality bonds and bonds of five year duration or less.&nbsp; Those willing to bring sophistication to their investing may consider using bond ETFs as tactical positions and not strategic positions at this time.

Amazon Debunks Rumor That Hurt Nvidia; Gold Hits $3500, Yen Hits 140; Stocks Bounce On India Talks

Quest Diagnostics Inc&nbsp;(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DGX#NYSE">DGX</a>) reported on Tuesday that first-quarter 2025 sales of $2.65 billion, up 12.1% year over year, beat the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus of $2.63 billion</a>.
The diagnostic test provider reported quarterly adjusted earnings of $2.21 per share, up 8.3%, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/04/n44917998/quest-diagnostics-reports-first-quarter-2025-financial-results-reaffirms-revenue-and-adjusted-dilu" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">beating the consensus of $2.15</a>.
&#8220;In the first quarter, we delivered strong revenue growth of approximately 12%, including nearly 2.5% in organic growth, as demand rebounded in March following weather impacts early in the quarter. Our growth was due to contributions from acquisitions and large enterprise accounts, demand for our advanced diagnostics portfolio, and expanded health plan access,&#8221; said Jim Davis, chairman, CEO and president. &#8220;We are reaffirming our revenue and adjusted EPS guidance for the full year 2025.&#8221;

Revenue per requisition increased by 0.3%, requisition volume increased 12.4% and organic requisition volume fell slightly by 0.9%.
Adjusted Operating income increased 16.3% to $406 million, while margin improved from 14.8% to 15.3%.
Outlook: Quest Diagnostics reaffirms 2025 guidance for <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/01/43346695/quest-diagnostics-delivers-q4-earnings-beat-the-details" rel="noreferrer noopener">revenue of $10.70 billion—$10.85 billion</a> versus the consensus of $10.78 billion and adjusted EPS of $9.55-$9.80 compared to the consensus of $9.68.
In February, Quest agreed to acquire select assets of Fresenius Medical Care AG&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FMS#NYSE">FMS</a>) wholly owned Spectra Laboratories. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2025. The transition of services is expected to be <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/n43910114/fresenius-medical-care-announces-divestment-of-select-laboratory-assets-to-quest-diagnostics" rel="noreferrer noopener">complete by early 2026</a>.
In addition, under a separate agreement, Quest will provide comprehensive laboratory services related to end-stage kidney disease and specialized water testing for patients and providers served by dialysis centers operated by Fresenius Medical Care and its wholly owned and joint-venture partners in the U.S.
In February, GRAIL Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GRAL#NASDAQ">GRAL</a>) and Quest Diagnostics announced the initial phase of a program to improve provider access to GRAIL&#8217;s Galleri multi-cancer early detection test.
Providers can now order the Galleri test directly from GRAIL through the Quest Diagnostics connectivity system that enables providers in the U.S. to order and receive reports of laboratory tests electronically through Quest&#8217;s Quanum laboratory portal and more than 900 electronic health record (EHR) systems. More than 500,000 providers used the Quest connectivity <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/n43657458/grail-and-quest-diagnostics-provide-grails-galleri-multi-cancer-early-detection-mced-test-through-" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">system last year</a>.
William Blair writes, &#8220;At first glance, these results are in line with what we would expect from Quest — consistent and with little drama.&#8221;
&#8220;We remain comfortable with the 2025 guide, as Quest continues to benefit from prudent utilization assumptions, mix benefits, flattish unit pricing, a more favorable regulatory environment and plenty of acquisition targets,&#8221; analyst Andrew Brackmann noted.
The William Blair analyst added, &#8220;Beyond the favorable industry backdrop, we believe Quest should be well insulated from macroeconomic noise, with the overwhelming majority of revenue coming from the U.S. and what we think will be minimal (likely offset) impact from tariffs.&#8221; The analyst reiterated the Outperform rating.

Specifically, the 20-day average sits at $489.41, and the 50-day at $523.70, both well above the current price. With the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) at a negative 10.71 and a Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 44.18, ISRG stock is showing weak momentum with more room to fall before reaching oversold territory.
For investors, this means caution may be warranted ahead of earnings. If the company misses expectations or guidance disappoints, the bearish momentum could accelerate.

With inflation still elevated and the dollar under pressure, retail appetite for speculative plays has remained muted.
He believes only the top 1% of altcoins may reclaim their former highs, while 99% could remain underwater unless macro trends improve.
TheDefiVillian, another trader, <a href="https://x.com/thedefivillain/status/1914352020124770762">agrees</a>. 
He continues to short altcoins, favoring a long position in Bitcoin while staying defensively positioned in alts. 
According to him, the altcoin market remains structurally bearish, and he expects that to persist.
