Tesla, Palantir And Coinbase Are Among Top 11 Large-Cap Gainers Last Week (Apr 21-Apr 25): Are The Others In Your Portfolio?

Needham analyst Quinn Bolton reiterated the Buy rating on Mobileye Global Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MBLY#NASDAQ">MBLY</a>),<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/MBLY/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener"> lowering the price forecast from $20 to $18.</a>
On Thursday, the company reported first-quarter revenue growth of 83% year-on-year to $438 million,<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/04/44978234/intel-autonomous-driving-firm-mobileye-reaffirms-2025-outlook-after-record-q1-growth-in-system-shipments-and-design-wins" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> beating the analyst consensus estimate of $435.2 million</a>. Adjusted EPS of 8 cents was in line with the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst consensus estimates</a>. 
The analyst highlighted several positives from the quarter, including strong design win momentum, such as Mobileye's first Surround ADAS win and a significant ADAS contract with a Korean automaker. The analyst also noted continued progress in robotaxi partnerships with Uber and Lyft, which could become meaningful by 2027.

Bolton writes that the Lyft collaboration is progressing, with Marubeni set to operate the fleet, and initial rollouts are expected in Dallas by 2026.
For Uber, Mobileye's Drive technology will be part of its joint robotaxi initiative with Volkswagen.
Both partnerships will follow a business model involving a one-time upfront system fee, followed by recurring licensing fees based on mileage. This offers solid average selling prices and favorable margins, the analyst writes.
Although 2025 estimates remain mostly intact, slight adjustments were made to gross margin and operating expenses. In contrast, 2026 forecasts were reduced due to anticipated delays in SuperVision and CAV unit volumes, which are influenced by uncertainty around tariffs, Bolton writes.
The analyst also pointed out that Porsche remains the only driver of incremental SV volume in the near term.
Bolton projects FY25 earnings per share of 27 cents. The analyst lowered FY26 EPS estimate to 35 cents from 40 cents.

Buzz AD vehicles within multiple U.S. markets, starting in Los Angeles <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/04/b44976550/volkswagen-and-uber-launch-long-term-strategic-partnership-to-deploy-autonomous-id-buzz-vehicles-o" rel="noreferrer noopener">over the next decade</a>.
Volkswagen and Uber announced a strategic partnership to deploy autonomous vehicles on the Uber platform.

Bank of America analyst John Murphy expects Tesla&#8217;s robotaxi segment to account for 50% of the EV company&#8217;s valuation and be worth $420 billion in the U.S. and over <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/01/42859391/uber-and-lyft-adapt-robotaxi-strategy-to-compete-in-tesla-and-waymos-market" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">$800 billion globally</a>.
Tesla chief Elon Musk expects the EV giant&#8217;s robotaxi fleet to function like a combination of Airbnb, Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ABNB#NASDAQ">ABNB</a>) and Uber.

Mobileye Global shares are trading higher after the company reported better-than-expected Q1 sales results and issued Q2 sales guidance above estimates.

Mobileye Global Inc&nbsp;(NASDAQ:&nbsp;MBLY)&nbsp;stock gained Thursday after it reported its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/04/b44974988/mobileye-releases-first-quarter-2025-results-and-reaffirms-full-year-outlook" rel="noreferrer noopener">fiscal first-quarter</a> 2025 results.
The company reported a quarterly revenue growth of 83% year-on-year to $438 million, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $435.2 million. 
Adjusted EPS of 8 cents was in line with the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst consensus estimates</a>.&nbsp;

The Average System Price was $49.00, down from $61.00 in the prior year. The number of systems shipped rose to 8.5 million from 3.6 million a year ago.
Gross margin climbed by 2,467 bps to 47%
Adjusted gross margin improved by 680 bps to 69% due to changes in the volume mix between EyeQ SoC and SuperVision. 
The adjusted operating margin was 13%, up from (27)% a year ago. 
Mobileye held $1.51 billion in cash and equivalents as of March 29, and generated a quarterly operating cash flow of $109 million.
Mobileye CEO Amnon Shashua said the first quarter was one of the largest quarters on record regarding projected future volumes.
Among the company&#8217;s milestones:

The company expects second-quarter revenue of $469.73 million compared to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst estimates of</a> $432.42 million.

Three new MIPI A-PHY design wins in Automotive should ramp up in 2026. In the long term, AI robotics and machine vision will drive adoption in the industrial and medical segments.
Valens products will address a TAM of over $5 billion by 2028, up from ~$2.6 billion today.
Valens is the connectivity market leader in the pro-AV sector. The company established its leadership position via the invention of HDBaseT in 2009 and then co-founded the HDBaseT Alliance. Bolton noted that Valens will continue gaining a share in the high-end segment. 
The company&#8217;s entrance into the mainstream segment will further drive share gains, he added.
Bolton noted Pro-AV as an attractive market, underpinned by growing demand for high-quality, low-latency connectivity as businesses upgrade their AV infrastructure.
Like HDBaseT, the MIPI A-PHY standard is based on Valens&#8217; technology. In September 2024, Valens announced its first three MIPI A-PHY (VA7000) design wins with leading European Automotive OEMs in vehicle models with Start of Production (SoP) in 2026. Valens noted several emerging opportunities within the Industrial and Medical end markets.
In the Industrial, an inflection point is occurring driven by AI and machine vision applications. In Medical, Bolton noted opportunities in traditional healthcare along with emerging use cases such as robotics and disposable endoscopes.
Bolton projected first-quarter revenue of $16.5 million and adjusted EPS of $(0.03).
